Hand Versus Heart - Poem by Edwina Reizer
What can I hold within my hand
That will not slip away?
What can I keep within my heart
forever and a day?
I can't keep all that was in my hand
always in my heart.
For things in my hand are material
that sooner or later depart.
But everything that I keep in my heart
can't be taken from me.
It's with this knowledge I'm at peace
as I approach eternity.
