Hands Poem by Nosratara Ahmed

Hands

They wiggle and dance,
Slide gently through-
Silky, smooth,
Rough,
Hair, skin,
Air.
Wear ornaments-
Plastic dollar diamond
Ring,
Sparkling as a broken mirror.
Rainbow jewels decorate
Those soft bones as
Quilted shelter
Embraces
Its best use:
Pressed, touched,
Against
You,
I see,
These hands hold.
