Happiness Poem by Rachel L. Z.

Happiness

I'd like to write a song to wake up all the sleepers
I'd tell them if they lie awake that they can still be dreamers
There's nothing wrong with looking to a better day
I just hope when we call them up they won't be far away

Put a smile on your face and I'll wipe your tears
I can't rescue you but I can help you fight your fears
I wanna save you but few things can save you from yourself
If you don't believe in happiness.

I'd like to write a song to reinvent the smart ones
Not those who use their wallets but their minds, old or young
Your mind can be your very best friend or your worst enemy
It can drown you in its depths or it can set you free

Put a smile on your face and I'll wipe your tears
I can't rescue you but I can help you fight your fears
I wanna save you but few things can save you from yourself
If you don't believe in happiness.

I'd like to write a song to remind you to smile
Put the magazine down and look at your friends for a while
No matter what the gossips say they don't know you anyway
What does it amount to at the end of the day?

Put a smile on your face and I'll wipe your tears
I can't rescue you but I can help you fight your fears
I wanna save you but few things can save you from yourself
If you don't believe in happiness.
