With tears bubbling from eyes I prayed again
The Lord in holy sanctum sanctorum.
This's some tenth temple where I prayed with pain.
There's silence except house flies' endless hum.
I prayed in Guru Dwar, in mosque and church.
I dipped in holy rivers, sang peans sweet
Climbed hills and rocks and walked through woods in search
Of saints with mystic powers and touched their feet.
So weird are ways of God, so weird is fate!
My tragic life is like a thorny bed.
In pathless gloomy world I grope for gate
To fast escape and run before I'm dead.
On predicaments these what use to moot? !
Must grieve I, till consumed are Karma's fruit.
