Happy 21st Birthday Poem by Alice Cordy

Happy 21st Birthday

21 years I've watch you grow, with so much up and go.
Once a baby in my arms, melting hearts with your charm.
From the day you were born, knowing you'll be someone's popcorn.

It only seems like yesterday, as a little boy,
you enjoyed playing with little kids toys.
Now you're a man, it's time to upgrade,
to find that special mermaid.
Building things with the grip of your hands,
just be mindful of the wetlands.

Your life is a treasure, so embrace all of its adventures.
Even if it is having a beer or two, just stay clear of any blues.
Take the good with the bad, as one day you'll make a great dad.

Remember to be honest and true, as you will always be number one.
Choices that you make, can be your own rewarding sweepstake.
Enjoy your life to the fullest, as I know you'll do your best.

You're a man of your own,
knowing you will never be alone.
I'm always here for you,
even if you're feeling blue.
I am proud of all you achieve,
though you can be a little naïve.
Always standing up to his beliefs,
trying to be mindful of the police.

I cannot believe time has flown by, as it seems to be a blink of an eye.
There is so much I want to say, but I'll leave it for another day.
Enjoy this special milestone, as you turn twenty one.
I'm proud to have you as my son, for everything you have done.
As my son I will ever hold so dear, always in my heart forever near.
