Happy Birthday Son Poem by Ray Hansell

Happy Birthday Son

Thirty nine years ago
That's when you came to be
That was the greatest day
My life would ever see

Every day from that day on
Has been a real pleasure
Having you for my son
Has been life's greatest treasure

To watch you grow through the years
At times, had been so trying
But to see where you are now
Has turned out to be so gratifying

The person you turned out to be
Makes me proud beyond words
Remember that, "I Love You"
Even if it's seldom heard
