Happy Birthday To A Sixteen Year Old Poem by Sadaf Aslam

Happy Birthday To A Sixteen Year Old

Sixteen candles on your cake
Secret wishes we watch you make
Pictures, presents, partying late
Its "you" we come to celebrate

How the time has flown by
How you've grown. My, oh my!
Seems like in the blink of an eye,
You bid your childhood, "Good Bye"

You've been blessed with charm and grace
There is a sweetness in your face
Kind and funny are your ways
You brighten up the dreariest days

You're a friend that's always there
To share a joke, to wipe a tear
A generous smile, a helping hand
Loving, tender, genuine care

Gone are the days of Barbie dolls
Soccer cleats and soccer balls
Learning to swim, learning to skate
Learning to brace for the falls

Hide and seek in the funniest places
Sticky stickers with smiley faces
Velcro shoes to tying laces
A, B, C's and lettering traces

Soon you'll be on your way
You'll spread your wings and fly away
New paths to find, new friends to make
New thoughts to think, new things to say

We'll proudly watch and we'll quietly pray...

May your future be very bright
May you also find Mr. Right
May your dreams and wishes come true
Blissful days and tranquil nights

May you live a thousand years
May each year have a thousand days
May Allah bless each single day
In a thousand million different ways
