A father and a son,

Never so close,

and yet never so far.

Always remembering,

always wanting,

the good ol' days.

There were no fights,

there was no hate.

I look and I see,

the path not taken.

The path of fun,

the path of joy,

the path of true happiness.

I know I might not be much

But I hope I can be more,

then a simple argument.

I always have enjoyed,

my time with you.

And so here's to you,

on your day.
