Happy Father's Day, Dad Poem by Randy McClave

Happy Father's Day, Dad

Happy Father's Day, dad
Even though many times I made you mad,
You're the best father that there is, the best his
You always made my soul very glad.
Whenever I needed help you were always there
You always gave love and truth and care,
You gave me the best advice, I never needed told twice
Now your truths I will always bear.
You taught me that I was better no one
Whether living or gone,
And no one was better then me, now that I see
As life will always continue on.
You showed me how to treat others
And to respect all women because they are someone's mothers,
And always to give, how everyone as a right to live
I remember all of the druthers.
Because of you, I am who I am today
Though now I'm a little chubby and older and gray,
You are indeed the father, I speak without pain or bother
Now, I tell you Happy Father's Day as I pray.
