This is the day with tryst with destiny

This is the day we became free

This is the day we said good bye to colonial era

This is day we became owner of our destiny

This is the day we achieved our long waited dreams

This is day we we realized what it means to be free

This is the day one united India came into existence

This is the day we could call ourselves as free Indian

This is the day we resolved to have our own constitution

This is the day we formed our own government

This the day we could smile, dance and celebrate

This is day we tasted the real freedom with pride

Let us all join to strengthen our hard earned freedom

Let India emerge as, peaceful and prosperous India

For all its citizens irrespective of religions, caste and race.

Long live our India. Jai Hind
