He is black and shiny,
Must weigh one hundred pounds,
His eyes are brown and timid,
His strut can shake the ground,
He plunks his head upon my thigh,
Whenever I have food,
No matter how he frustrates me,
He can quickly change my mood,
A force of nature I call him,
He doesn't play well with other dogs,
I'm sure he'd like to catch a cat,
On a bun he'd have catdogs...lol,
I gave him as a gift to my love,
I thought a perfect choice,
On most days he makes me crazy,
With his overbearing voice,
I will tell you his name is Harley,
A big black Labrador,
Although somedays I could easily,
Kick him out the door,
He brings more dirt inside the house,
Than five hundred pairs of boots,
Squirrels outside on fences,
He is always in pursuit,
A love and hate relationship,
On most days I am amazed,
That I haven't kicked him out,
I am surprised I let him stay,
But a face only a master can love,
He often makes me smile,
No matter how he frustrates me,
I guess we'll keep him for a while.

Animals are our friends too.We must treat them with love and respect. But don't keep the guy around for a while only.Let him hang around for an eternity.Please.! And thank very much.I appreciate your kind words. They were full of sensible advice.A neccesary caution I needed very much to bring stability to my turbulent torn to tatters emotions
