When at night I lie awake,
And sleep evades my mind.
I take a walk through fields of gold
With you, therein I find,
The peace and harmony of the soul
That’s hard to find by day,
And as you turn you, smile at me
As consciousness slips away.
There, in my dream we continue on
Along our eternal road,
And there, we two, we form a bond,
That can’t be bought or sold.
The time we share behind the veil
Is so peaceful and serene,
And in this our place, our time and space,
Our spirits will always be
Free, to roam to laugh and love
The universe here, is ours
There among the fields of gold,
Or here among the stars.
