The beautiful Harn Homestead
Is still very well maintained
Love surrounds this place
And that has always brought it fame
A museum and beautiful gardens
A school house with so much charm
Delightful inside and out
Like the old red livestock barn
Years and years folks worked there
From early morning until night
Tending the farm’s necessities
So everything would flow just right
The entire family worked so hard
Dad out in the many fields
Harvesting the crops so Mom
Could make bread right from the yield
The kids grew up to work as well
Back-breaking dirty work
But they learned at a young age
Chores were something you never shirked
Time changes as years go by
For nothing can stay the same
But it’s good to remember the old days
Kinda sad they could not remain!
