Harvesting Nightmares - Poem by Cheyenne Ashley

Is it you
Mr> Nightmare
That haunts me while I sleep

We sow with a dream
Everything that we reap

Is it you
Mr. Nightmare
Who scares me awake

We plant our lands
With our thoughts and our rakes

It is you
Mr. Nightmare
Who invades my mind

We harvest our crops
Yet leave nothing behind

An excellent description of a nightmare 'who invades my mind' and a clever metaphor. You write well, thank you. Jeannie (Report)Reply
