Hated Poem by Christina Ramirez

Hated

I feel your hatred pour over me,
you knew it wouldn't last forever, it wasn't a guarantee.
But I feel your knife stab my heart

'Now you'll feel pain as when I fell apart.'

I watched the blood flow red upon my feet
You grin, dropp the knife and say,

'Now I feel complete.'

I close my eyes and try to cry a tear
But all you do is laugh at the girl who now has fear

'You've watched me crumble and now it's me who will watch you in return.'

Watch as you squirm in jealousy and that fiery yearn, something that
you want.
To lose confidence all fear and become daunt
You will feel what I felt, there will be no cure for what is dealt.
You will pay the price by rolling the dice and you will feel the pain you have bestowed upon yourself.
