Keep veering thoughts, from home to crowded street;
From temples to my erstwhile working place;
From silent briny bays to crickets' beat
From retired date to grinding office days.
These haunting memories keep daunting more
And more...The more I try to stop their jet
By slamming hard my fluttering heart-door
I try again, again until I sweat.
I try some Yoga, meditate for hours
And walk a mile or so. But yet, whack hard
my pied past like collapsing ghostly tower.
In trance I smile, I weep with psyche snarled.
Well now its different. I'm used to this flashback
Syndrome. Don't dirty rills join ocean main
Along with rivers sweet? I learned the knack
Of finding pain in joy and joy in pain.
