Haunts Poem by dan morales

Haunts

Your face haunts my past
My pain, how long will it last?
i want to let go
let you rest.
i want to let go not hold you back.
Your grave haunting, black
come for me, come take me back
together in death
together we lie
you didn't want to stay
you wanted to die
Your face haunts my past
my pain, how long will it last
i want to let go
let you rest
i want to let go
not hold you back
Your voice haunting me
won't let me be
i want to die, why can't you see?
you faded away
two years ago right on this day.
can't forget
want to let go
can't pretend
i want to lay low.
