Have I failed
let down who I was
Put up an act
Are lies all that is left?
or is it the truth I refuse to believe
Can you ever feel what is missed
Absence of life, Absence of depth
The music continues to play
yet the tune is forgotten
get picked up off the highway
Scraped off some windshield
But it'll be okay
No one will cry, no tremble of a hand
Because you will know
I have won
I've lived, I've loved
Been torn through and through
Always looking for more
Until I found you
Too soon I had seen
What it was I needed
I had become too deep, too dark
too intense, not so smart
I'm sorry, I shall fade away
Brush off all of me from you
Please don't look at me cry
Don't hug me for the sake of it
I know you're just fakin'..
