Have Tea With Me Poem by Francie Lynch

Have Tea With Me

Thanks
For the party
You threw
For me;
Another decade
Was easy.
I wear
An outfit
You like
To see;
One, I believe
That suits me,
And accept
The accolades
Graciously.

In the spotlight
It's easy to shine.
Don't cover
Your eyes,
Some's a disguise.
And I do admit
To some white lies;
So just don't
Cover your eyes.

All you've done
Means much
You see,
But pales
When you
Have tea
With me.
