Having Not Served Poem by bill costley

Having Not Served

Not having ‘served' once
disqualified a man as a Man.
(I‘ve lived with this 51 yrs.)

Now having willingly served
reduces some men to beasts
living outdoors like bears.

What has this country come to?
It all depends on who you ask:
Where is there any 'honor' in it?
