Hayley Is A Comet Poem by Harry S Smith

Hayley Is A Comet

Hayley Is A Comet,
She works behind a bar,
They think that they can keep her there,
But she's a shooting star!

She rises in the twilight,
To pierce the inky night,
Her name is brilliant Venus,
The pure love satellite!

Hayley Is A Comet,
Love her now or never,
She might not pass this way again,
Not ever...ever...ever!

Her heart's a blazing plasma,
Incandescent with desire,
Watch her wild corona,
Set you all on fire!

She loves the men around her,
Like Joan of Arc of old,
It's in her ‘Norma' nature,
To love you when its cold!

Hayley Is A Comet,
Love her now or never,
She might not pass this way again,
Not ever...ever...ever!

When Voyager sent a signal,
Out to a billion stars,
Someone out there answered us,
And sent her to be ours!

She's travelled an eternity,
The angels said she would,
Who knows she may well save us,
Lord knows that someone should!

Hayley Is A Comet,
Love her now or never,
She might not pass this way again,
Not ever...ever...ever!
