Haze.... Poem by rahul unnikrishnan

lying down on my rough hard bed,
my eyes through tears oh, so red,
i cup my hands on my face,
my mind seems clouded, lost in a haze.

these memories unforgiving, all the same,
flash like the pictures on a frame,
i cower in fear as if in a daze,
my mind seems clouded, lost in a haze.

she was so beautiful and oh, so fine,
was so hard to believe she was mine,
she left me so soon, so high and dry,
left my mind clouded, lost in a haze.

the day i recall as clear as today,
quarrels that could have been on any other day,
she took it no longer, no longer could she brace,
she left my mind so clouded, lost in a haze.

i wish but once to turn back time,
to hug her and to say she's mine,
i know the truth painful as it is,
my mind is hurting, lost in a haze.

reach out my hands to the one's of death,
existance is too taxing, so is drawing my breath,
one moment of pain and i felt nothing more,
that eased my mind, lost in a haze....
