Hazrat Abbas (As) Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

Hazrat Abbas (As)

In Karbala, where the sands were stained,
With the blood of martyrs, that was shed in pain,
There stood a hero, brave and true,
Hazrat Abbas, the one so few.

With sword in hand, and flag held high,
He charged ahead, without a sigh,
To protect his brother, the Imam of all,
And answer his call, no matter the toll.

He fought with courage, and valiantly,
Against the enemy, so ruthlessly,
And though outnumbered, he did not yield,
For his faith was strong, and his will unsealed.

He faced the foes, with unwavering might,
Defying the odds, and the darkest of night,
With each blow struck, he held his ground,
And left the enemy in shock and astound.

Alas, his fate was written so,
To be struck down, by a traitorous blow,
And yet he stood, with flag in hand,
For he knew his mission, and its demand.

He fell, but his legacy lives on,
As a symbol of bravery, that won't be gone,
His sacrifice, an eternal flame,
A shining light, that shall forever remain.

In Karbala, where the sands were stained,
With the blood of martyrs, that was shed in pain,
There stands a hero, with his head held high,
Hazrat Abbas, the one who'll never die
