He Became Our Offering Poem by Gary James Smith

He Became Our Offering

Rating: 5.0

He became our offering
A sacrifice for sin
And rent the veil from top to bottom
To let the sinner in

Now there was an opening
Not a need of priest
Christ Himself our mediator
Ensuring joy and peace

The fragarance of forgiveness
Sweet fine Rose of Sharon
None other one so giving
None other one so caring

Great gift of our Salvation
Defeating our fiercest foe
Empty tomb how jubilant
Up from the grave He arose

No works of ours are necessary
To obtain God's greatest gift
By faith alone in Jesus Christ
We now receive new birth.
