He Forgave Me Poem by Mysia Hayling

He Forgave Me

Rating: 5.0

He forgave me through the life he gave me
I fell down, when the trials surround
But he placed my feet on solid ground.

I lied to myself
I've played the fool
thinking I could do it on my own
Yet His mercy and love did notdisown
Through my pain his love has grown.

I played with fire
and I got burned
But His grace I didn't have to earn
Just the good and the bad I must discern
Certain lessons in life I must learn.

Nothing happens outside of his will
this empty void inside me
He seeks so urgently to fill.
The loneliness I constantly feel
He wants to heal,
As I go on my knees
I know He listens to my heart appeal.

His mercy endureth forever today
I've seen the error of my way
With unconditional love He understands
My life will be forever in his hands
The consequences of my actions I must withstand
For there is one set of footprints in the sand.
