He Is My Brother Poem by Randy McClave

He Is My Brother

He is my brother
I love him more than any other,
I'll trust him to the end
He truly is my best friend.
He'll always have my back
From all lies and any sneak attack,
And I will have his back as well
As true friendship will always compel.
We wear different coats and different shoes
And where we walk, we alone choose
We have both carried the very same load
And many times walked the very same road.
We've have both had the same thought
Same battles we have both fought,
But, we share not the same inheritance
We share not the same parents.
We have laced up the very same gloves
While protecting the very same loves,
Him and I may not to be at all related
But, by God we are both fated.
We have many of the same pain and beliefs
And sadly many of the same griefs,
We have shared about everything
Even the same blood, in the Boxing ring.
