He never said
That once we decided
To follow Him
That our lives
Would become easy
Or that our lives
Would not have
Mountains and valleys
Having a mindset
As that is one of fantasy
Check your heart
And change your way
Of thinking
Believe me
Your days with Him
Will contain some
Of the greatest moments
Of your life
He never said
That once we chose
To follow Him
That our lives would
Become easy
But He did
Leave us the Bible
As a guide to
Help us to live
Our lives daily
Can you say testimony
Living for Him
Makes our lives
More hopeful
And less pitiful
Do I live
For Him
Why yes I do my best
After all I am not perfect
Nor do I try
To project it
He sacrificed His life
Took all of our sins
He did it for you and me
He never said
That once we decided
To follow Him
That things would
Become easy
But He did
Say that He came
So we may have life
And have it more abundantly
