He’s searching again, for love, a passionate dance
When his feet find the rhythm, he is instantly lost, unmet
He longs for a past he shared, devotedly once
With a girl in whose eyes blew hues of sunset
Her smile, sparkling gems of pearly innocence
No wonder he’s not over her yet

He wishes they could talk, he knows how hard he’ll try
this time, she’s moved on, he can’t believe it, she’s changed
a bubble in his heart, a spell not broken, paint not dry
Her laughter rings in his ears, her smell lingers, a debt
He wants to belong, he wants to dance with her shoes, he can’t hide
Everyone can see and he knows it, he’s not over her yet
