He Said Poem by Randy McClave

He Said

He said that he would reduce the deficit
But, he didn't, I guess he probably forgot about it,
As he had said that he'd show his taxes to us all
As I and the country still recall.

He said that he would lower RX drug costs
But, he didn't care about human exhausts,
All he cared about was buildings up peoples hopes
Just for their donations and votes,

He said that in our infrastructure he will invest
In a speech to one and all Americans he had addressed,
But, the investing never occurred
Another lied we again all had heard.

He said that he would bring manufacturing back
He would give Americans a strong back,
But, instead of bringing back jobs to North Carolina
Him and his family invested in China.

He said that he would make Mexico pay for border security
He said that with a strong surety,
He said Mexico would pay for the wall with their dough
Mexico, just said no.

He said that he would reduce insulin prices
Because high drug costs are at a crisis,
He said insulin prices at a lower price would be sold
But, that's another lie he told.

He kept none of the many promises that he had made
For which many Americans had prayed,
But, those promises were still kept under the sun
Because, what Trump never accomplished, Biden had done.
