On that day the sun shone brightly
As I walked unknowingly into a book store.
Broken and in a hurry to go on with life
Taking nothing in
Knowing only that I needed to walk in silence.
Asking only why,
When
And how it all went wrong.
Pants to long
Look was all wrong,
To the back she said
To the back I went.
Looked up and was intrigued
A mystery she is
Or was my head daring me
To see if I still had game.
A regular I became
Something pulling me to where she was daily
Just to hear her laugh and see that smile
All was harmless
Never letting me in
And I never really wanting more.
Dreading the morning
That has me mourning over what I can never have,
But taking in all she gives.
Lay awake
Walk in my dreams
Name on tip of tongue.
Touch
Taste
Smell
All intertwined into shadows
Haunting me as I walk
As I sit silently and wish upon a shooting star.
Skin so soft against my touch
Scent lingers around my being
Seeing her out line as I close my eyes
Rise every morning to her pleasure.
