Head Held High Poem by Randy McClave

Head Held High

I will bow my head
Out of respect,
When I see the dead
For their life and conflict.

When I am in silence
And I give a nod,
I am not ignoring you
I am just talking to God.

I'll never bend my head
I will always hold it high,
When I look at the world
It will be straight in the eye.
