This poem is dedicated to Azu. It was written as a result of the ordeal he went through when someone he loved erased the footprints of her love from his life. Someone, he not only loved but nurtured.
My heart breaks like beaks of birds
Stricken against the mourning mountain
My heart shakes like a lifeless leaf
Tossed by a frustrated fountain
She turned her back
When the fun was hot
She burnt my heart
When I thought it was bright
She leaps with glee
When I thought she would flee
She grinds my knee
Rather than bathe me in spree
The shuck of this my heart could not hold
‘Cause I left all to treat her like gold
The tales of this my heart could not tell
Now I’m worse than the man in hell
My dreams were shattered
Like ducks duped of the fame of flying higher than eagles
My stream was battered
Like fishes forced to a game out of waters
