Heart In The Sand Poem by Elizabeth Gaytan

Heart In The Sand

Tear my heart, tear it into two's
ripp it out of it's roots.

Let it's blood run through your hand,
let it drip into the sand.

And let the current wash away your hands.
You came here and broke me,
leaving me with that love you showed me.

And then you left me,
leaving me unspoken, broken and hopeless.

Just make sure you leave my heart in the sand.
So that the current can one day wash away my hands.
To be able to pick my heart and let it live once again.
