Heart Of A Storm Poem by Sven Rhoads

Heart Of A Storm

When tomorrow is nothing more than a figment of imagination
Pressing through the exit wounds of the current times
Black roses bloom in the garden of our damnation
Awaiting the dead man to come save their souls

You wont be cleansed by the pouring rain
I wont be saved in your saviors name
Inside of my heart beats the eternal storm
When its time to stand there's no room to be reborn

This day is mine to hold
Wont waste it on my knees
Past the point for a merciful end
And I dont want to live forever
This hour is a time to shine
Lash the helm, release a battle cry
Dont waste a moment looking back again
History has already been written

When all the knowledge has lead to this approaching moment
A fight or flight will define your forever legacy
Even the snakes venom will never be as potent
As standing your ground to face the enemy

You cant bring thunder in a silent prayer
I face it all where the eagles dare
Bolts of lightning shoot from my eyes
A legend is born in the onslaught to fight

Its me against the whole wide world
Into the thick with a heart of a storm
