Heart-Rending Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Heart-Rending

Heart-rending,
Soul, body, muse, love, lust, lost, hatred;
But, where do you go from here?
With your heart-rending efforts to save a life.

Use, abuse!
With the muse of your illegal lust;
Bate, abate!
With the ways of your mind;
But now, you need help.

Heart-rending,
To save a life;
On this earth,
With the ways of mankind destroying everything.
Bate, abate!
Like the ways of your secret acts;
In this village.
