Heartache and grief
And suffering with pain.
Why must we suffer?
Is life all in vain?

Loneliness and rejection,
Coupled with despair.
Who else could shoulder
The burdens we bear?

Recovery is slow,
And so incomplete.
Oh how we struggle
To get back on our feet!

Victory with happiness,
It always brings cheer!
It’s within reach and
Somehow more clear.

Forward and straightway,
Ahead we shall go!
The past is behind us.
The future brings hope!

Together we all now
Can choose and decide,
That our future looks brighter,
When we walk side by side.
