Heartache And Hell Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Heartache And Hell

You've been through heartache and hell,
Because so many others just couldn't tell,
Your heart is bigger than they realize,
But they just would never open their eyes.

You've been walked on too many times,
And you've had to suffer for their crimes.
Even when you've been knocked down,
You always refuse to wear a frown.

Your heart you've always given away,
But they were just too blind to stay.
You dust yourself off and keep coming back,
Even when the deck against you is stacked.

But your heart of gold keeps on beating,
And those demons you keep on defeating.
Someday the right one will finally see,
And you will be able to be set free.
