Heartbreak Prison Poem by Herbert Dry

Heartbreak Prison

You've sentenced many to heartbreak prison tender hearts not knowing
the consequence of love
failed
It will be a while before they try again, not until time served and
leaving heartbreak prison emotions
weak and frail

With strong and persuasive words your love I
will steal
I will be their revenge upon your love so cold, I will show them
how your love to reveal

Looking into your soft blue eyes golden hair my head begins
to swirl
I set out to conquer, your love I would take not realizing I too
would be in peril

Others will follow the beaten path to your heart being confident
of their decision
They like me will be sentenced to follow the road to
heartbreak prison
