Heaven's Angel Poem by Sneha Murali

precious sister rest in peace
in god's lap, please be at ease
your earth-bound family misses you so
wishing for a miracle, wishing for you more and more

why did you have to go soo soon
turning our hearts white and pale as moon
sinking our dreams and with it all love
hoping that you are happy above

sweet sister, it pains me much
to no longer be able to feel your touch
to no longer hear your playful giggle
neither heaven nor hell, i'm stuck in the middle

wishing i could just reach up high
and pull you down from the sky
to tell you i miss you and love you so
to remember you from head to toe

you went away, there's nothing left
except the feeling of love bereft
to do nothing but keep memories alive
of us, of mom and dad, to just survive

precious sister, be at peace
in god's arms, please do ease
look over us, our guardian angel
protect us from harm, from hate and hell
