Heaven Sent Poem by Mark Trajano

Are you the one whom the Universe has sent to me
To ease my pressures and anxiety?
Are you the one whom the world fated for me
To rid me of my fears and worry?

While we are worlds apart connected only by circumstance
Yet here are our strings ever closer gifted by chance.
Making sense of all the waves of different frequencies
Wisdom helps separate reality from fantasies.

How do we take this change of pace?
How do we know when grace leaves or stays?
Such questions prove to be of vanity in nature
When faith and action are the cure.

Scarred from all the lifetime of walking
Changing of seasons is no longer appealing.
When the only option is to move no matter the direction
the design of the woven path will serve as a reflection.

Here we are despite what we encountered
Flowing along to where we hope we'll be sheltered.
Here we are despite what we thought we knew
Challenged by everything that is new.

Am I the one who fits perfectly in your heart
The person who would help it start?
Am I the one whom the Universe has sent to you
As an answered prayer it already knew?
