Duality Poem by Mark Trajano

Duality

Rating: 5.0

Trending fashion of superficial beauty
seeps into the souls of those caught
in tides of complicated insanity;
dancing in what life it has brought.

Poor fruit suffers and spoils while others adore
the shimmering of pearly skin.
Withstanding trials and time, she has stood for
the sweet flatteries she will win.

Stranger to the fact she’s hungry for wisdom;
philosophy eludes such roads;
the dying fruit heads to another kingdom
accompanied by glorious odes.

Now realizing the need for proper growth
the body mourns so hellishly
as the dead spirit in river Styx floath
paying for her beauty’s degree.

Beautiful rendition of words to utmost justice. Lovely poem elegantly brought forth in good rhyme scheme with conviction. Thanks for sharing Mark.
