Heavenly Fall, Rainfall (Sonnet) Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

Heavenly Fall, Rainfall (Sonnet)

Rating: 3.5

As sky becoming cloudy and gloomy
A message...! From heavens, so pleasing
Veils thickening over my window draping
Warmth outdoors, on cheeks, sensing

Skylarks roaming about in delight
Frogs, suddenly beginning to croak
Breeze gliding over mountain tops
to the sound ofwhistlingBo-leaves

Sneaking the freshly feeling through
eyes ears nose, down entire physique
Its drops of life, long waited for
The rain, the fall divine and dearly, so!

Glistened and gleamed in starlit sheen
diamonds falling and touching ground
Men 'n women, let's sing and dance
to the rhyme 'n rhythm of rain's prance
