Heavy Introspection Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Heavy Introspection

My heart is open, like a door,
My mind is clear, for all to explore.
I try my best, each single day,
To be much better, come what may.

For me, for you, for all we meet,
I walk this path, on hopeful feet.
But shadows linger, thoughts take hold,
Why aren't these changes being told?

They look, they watch, but seem to miss,
The honest effort, the gentle kiss
Of trying harder, day by day.
What am I doing that goes astray?

Is my light too dim, my voice too low?
Or do they see, but choose not to know?
I pour myself, into this quest,
Yet still, my efforts go unblessed.

Perhaps the wanting, makes me blind,
To what they truly seek and find.
I'll keep on trying, with all my might,
Hoping to shine, a clearer light.
