The Strength Of You And Me Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

The Strength Of You And Me

My shoes are red, your shoes are blue.
I can run faster, I can jump too.
I can climb higher, reach the top shelf.
You can sing louder, I sing by myself.

I can draw a sun, with a happy face.
You can paint a flower, with delicate grace.
I can build a tower, so tall and grand.
You can weave a basket, with your own hand.

I can splash in puddles, with a mighty leap.
You can whisper secrets, while the world's asleep.
I can shout your name, across the wide street.
You can hum a soft tune, oh so sweet.

So we both have talents, special and bright.
Some things I do better, some things you do right.
We're different, it's true, in every single way.
And that makes us stronger, every single day.
