Hebe, (Xandersonii) sprays Of Resplendent Blue Poem by john (called jack) wren

Hebe, (Xandersonii) sprays Of Resplendent Blue

August is just a stones throw away
as we pass through a sunny St Swithin's day
and fields and fields of drooping corn
await their fate in the coming dawn
in the garden things look fair
as this girl starts to groom her hair
out goes that drab and dreary look
from Spring and Winter's cheerless book
and in its place a Summer sheen
from head to toe she's now a dream
displaying sprays of resplendent blue
from a bowl of green to enrich the veiw
Shasta daisy's gasp and drop their head
in reverence to this sight they all dread
as your blue just lengthens every day
making you Queen of all you survey.
