Hell Sonnet Poem by Saydra Basta

Hell Sonnet

Rating: 5.0

In death awaits the nothingness of hell
The empty air, the frozen midnight sky
The soundlessness you thought you could repell
But now you shriek so silent as you die

To drown within your viscous red contempt
Or hang between divide of Earth and fire
Does pain burn brighter than you once had dreamt?
Or slowly fade before the dull retire?

Don't give this act a single second thought.
Don't tinge this mercy with unfound regret.
Your fear is but a trial to be fought
A war between the peace you lack of yet

Embrace the void of darkness that consumes
Before the pain you flee from swift resumes
