Hello My American Negro Poem by MTHOKOZISI NTOKOZO MAPHUMULO

Hello My American Negro

Hello My American Negro

Chemical Solution is fixed by a dye
Among the colonized and civilized society
Here is a black man
Black man in relation to white
This is false
The black man has no ontological resistance in relation to white

His customs, norms and values all wiped out
Imposed in him is civilization
The twentieth century colonization
A moment of his inferiority
Within American Negro
The body is surrounded by atmosphere of certainty and uncertainty
Because when he takes one step forward he is reminded of ship of slavery
In the aero plane, train, and street and at working place I was made aware of my color and African originality
White kids are fear over me, because I am not a complete person but I am a cannibal

Shivering and nervous of me
Understand my dear boy: Nigger is not going to eat you
He will open your eyes and make you see the world differently
He will make you a person who is conscious of other side of life diversity
Look how handsome that Negro is

The Negro has invented white blood inside of his skin deep
He can speak in English
Write in English
Drive an aero plane
We have physicians, Professors and statesman who are Negro
I demand explanation
Are these cannibalisms, man eater?
Material world
I hate in as much as I hate the earthquick and Tsunami
Because you limited the mind of the colonialist

Teach me sociologist teach me
About the fact that race does not exist
The eye colour, eye texture and languages are simple categories of race
Let me understand the psychological mechanism
That was meant to bring about unequal power share across different racial groups
Black inferior, less intelligent and non-civilized
White superior, more intelligent and civilized
All these are the socio- political construction of race

Thanks to Marx, Fanon and Biko
For getting serious about human barbarism
Today I live in the world where I have freedom
Freedom of prosperity
I have equal chance of freedom of expression no matter if I am black among whites
The fear of color is overcome

I go out to attend white schools
I am living outside of the love canal
My president can be either black or white
I have overcome nationalism, tribalism and racism
These are the happiest days of our lives
The Material world is overcome
There are emerging black bourgeoisies
The life has never been exciting like this
I am an American Negro everywhere
I am Negro in post South African Apartheid era
I have come to share with white elicits the space, beach sites and Model-C school and accommodation
Enmity and fear is overcome
Black or White: I love you my politicians
Ruling party or opposing party: I love you my politicians
You have abnormilized our lives and also normalize them
You have been playing a rhetoric color blind game
Until I am known as a Coconut
Until My race is exposed
Until my culture of music, food, and Billabong clothes come to define me
Until my sport defines myself
Until I have different I in Me which changes from place to place
Until I am color conscious

There is no way I am coming back to you
I am going away and away
I don’t care if I am a Coconut
A new cradle has a beautiful grave
It knows no color
No racial, no spatial and no boundary of sport and difference of school institution
That is why the I changes time after time, from palace to place
How I enjoy my dynamic life
Yes we can all of us live this lovely life
By simple tell our minds that we are now free
Shut your eyes and forget about superior political positions attached to race and material opportunity
And make other psychologically oppressed individual that the weapon of liberation is in their mind
A constitution is our minds and action is our implication of
Halala Rob Patman for your liberal vision of freedom
You a junction of Martin Luder the King
You are a junction of Dr Nelson Mandela
You are a junction of neutral multicultural revolution.
May you live an everlasting life?
By the way you are a Negro! ! !
