Her - Poem by Brian Potthast

when with her
time flys without a sigh
one thing is for sure
i cannot sit idly by
slowly moving tward the goal
to win the heart of this youg soul
thinking of ways day after day
walking alone finding my way
nothing shown to her quite yet
soon i fear i might regret
not taking the step where i might fall
not wanting to lose when i risk it all
puting my fear on the line
looking around for any sign
to prove she might love me yet
going on my mind is set
don't want to look back
don't want regret
