Her Smile

Sleek face
Express no emotion
Express no care… no pain
Her cheeks bright red
Like lit flames
Teeth white
Brushed clean
Lips smooth
Light pink paint
“You smile so much”
A smile that could ease;
Any detestation
And those words gush
They take away the distinction,
Of lost emotion from his face
Slight grin breaks through
Alas her smile saved the date
