She was at her most kissable when she was smiling
And boy, did she know that!
She didn't have to frown to get her way
Or throw a tantrum.
She didn't need to plead,
Or to say, "Please! " or "Pretty, please! "
She just began to smile,
As if in slow motion,
As if her smile was poetry in motion.
I'll never forget the subtlety of her smile,
Yet her kisses were even more lovely
And more beguiling than her smiling!
